IMA Webinar Broadcast: Pegusus Mobile Spyware and The Global Mobile Threat Landscape

September 15, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

First uncovered by Lookout and Citizen Lab in 2016, the highly advanced mobile spyware Pegasus was confirmed in July 2021 to have been used on business executives, human rights activists, journalists, academics and government officials. In a joint investigation into a leaked list of more than 50,000 phone numbers, 17 media organizations found a high concentration of individuals from countries known to engage in surveillance. These regions are also known to have been clients of the NSO Group, an Israeli-based company behind the development of Pegasus and a known leader in the unregulated spyware industry.

Join security research experts from Lookout to learn about Pegasus and other global mobile malware trends that could affect your employees and the data they access from the devices they use most. Topics include:
-An overview of the global mobile threat landscape including encounter rates
-A deep dive into surveillanceware including advanced persistent threat and cybercriminal groups for hire in the regions that Pegasus has been known to be used.
-How you can detect and protect against Pegasus and other threats along the mobile threat killchain.
