IMA Webinar Broadcast: Insider Threat Awareness and Best Practices

This course is eligible for 4 ASIS CPE credits. This course features a special introduction and briefing from FBI Special Agent Reginald Reyes, Counterintelligence Strategic Partnership Coordinator for FBI Los Angeles.

This 4-hour introductory course is designed for corporations and critical infrastructure and key resources (CIKR). This course is an introduction to how to best assess the needs of your organization, and the general first steps to form an insider threat program. Discussions will center around building something with minimal or no budget. Definitions, scope, industry standards, best practices, factors to consider before you start, planning and implementations tips are included. Additionally, we will cover why there is no”one-size-fits-all” approach for insider threat programs, and why you need to factor in your organization’s culture.
This course covers the following:
-Case studies
-Strategy and Planning
-Use of an Insider Threat Steering Committee
-Program definitions and scope
-How to start a program without a budget

Presenter:
Shawnee Delaney, Intelligence Officer, CTWatch
Shawnee is a decorated Intelligence Officer and is an Insider Threat Subject Matter Expert (SME). A certified Case Officer and alumnus of the CIA’s iconic training facility; Shawnee spent nearly a decade with the DIA conducting clandestine Human Intelligence (HUMINT) operations all over the world, including four combat zone tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. At the Department of Homeland Security, she coordinated and managed intelligence community relationships in the protection of U.S. critical infrastructure.
