A CISO’s Guide to Effective Security Awareness Education and Training

April 28, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

This briefing is based on the findings of a cross-sector task force of CISOs and staff who shared details of their security awareness programs and developed best practice recommendations for improving program effectiveness. Security awareness education has always been a key component of a comprehensive cybersecurity program. In recent years, phishing emails leading to ransomware breaches have underscored its importance and have led companies to making significant investments in phishing training platforms. However, security professionals are still challenged by the lack of employee participation in training as well delivering training through “unengaging” media, like PowerPoint presentations.
