This workshop examines the looming impacts to critical infrastructure brought about by the emergence of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) where there is no central leadership and decisions get made from the bottom-up, Web3.0, an iteration of the World Wide Web based on blockchain, and associated technologies. The workshop will concentrate on how a new generation of blockchain capabilities presents new threats, as well as new opportunities, with respect to critical infrastructure.
Students will learn:
1. How DAOs and Web3.0 can affect critical infrastructure protection and organizational resilience efforts.
2. How these new technologies can provide new opportunities to reduce costs and streamline infrastructure operations.
3. Novel approaches to making existing infrastructure interoperable with the web3 and DAO paradigm.
