IMA Webinar Broadcast: SF InfraGard/NCRIC Webinar – FBI Documentary “Made in Beijing” and Panel Discussion

May 26, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am PDT

This webinar will provide a showing of the film “Made in Beijing,” which aims to help the American private sector recognize the urgent need to protect its intellectual property against sustained and ongoing industrial espionage by the People’s Republic of China (PRC). The documentary details the complex U.S. economic relationship with Beijing and explains the PRC’s goal of becoming the world’s top economic powerhouse by 2025, through unfair and illegal practices. The goal of “Made in Beijing” is to encourage private sector companies to reach out to their FBI field office to establish a relationship and educate themselves on steps they can take to prevent the theft of their intellectual property.
The commentary and analysis by the FBI and the U.S. Department of State will explain the threat faced by the private sector, how to protect their trade secrets and intellectual property, and how to defend against the adversarial actions by the PRC and their agents when traveling overseas.
