IMA Webinar Broadcast: Elder Justice – A case study in health care fraud

June 22, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

This series aims to show you what health care fraud and abuse against older adults looks like, why criminals are targeting older adults, and how we can work together to keep older adults safe. As June 15 is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, our Elder Justice events in June will focus on health care frauds and abuse/neglect that impact older adults.

This third session offers an in-depth look at a specific case of health care fraud. In this case, a woman without medical training used someone else’s identity to work as a home health aide and stole money from the man she was supposed to be helping. Our experts will offer tips on the red flags that could indicate health care fraud, especially in situations involving home health care aides.
