For our April IBMA meeting, we welcome Neil Bogart, Executive Area Technical Support Coordinator of NA Food & Beverage for Ecolab Inc.
Neil will discuss the InfraGard Food and Agricultural Sector and his focus as our new Food and Agricultural Sector Chief. Then we will take the journey of producing a bowl of ice cream and analyze risks to the ingredient stream from an agricultural, defense, and fraud perspective.
Could bio-warfare or a hacker ruin my ability to enjoy a bowl of ice cream? What if someone sold me an ingredient that isn’t what it states it is? The food and Agriculture sector has implemented mitigations, but can they handle the next attack?

Neil provides troubleshooting, microbiological technical support, cleaning, and sanitizing solutions to the dairy, food, beverage, and bottled water markets. He is a member of the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP), the Alabama Association for Food Protection (AAFP), the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), and the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA).
