InfraGard National Distinguised Speaker Series: Keeping the Lights On: Government and Industry efforts to secure our electric grid from cyberattack.

Description:  This INMA NISRU DSS webinar will be presented in a panel format, with three speakers, each presenting on a topic related to “Keeping the lights on.” After the speakers conclude, the INMA National Sector Security and Resiliency Program (NSSRP) Energy National Sector Chief  will moderate a Q&A with questions from attendees.

 Learning Objectives:

1. Learn about congressional efforts to bolster our nation’s energy infrastructure; specifically, the four bills in Congress.

  • H.R. 2928, the “Cyber Sense Act of 2021”
  • H.R. 2931, the “Enhancing Grid Security through Public-Private Partnerships Act”
  • H.R. 3078, the “Pipeline and LNG Facility Cybersecurity Preparedness Act”
  • H.R. 3119, the “Energy Emergency Leadership Act”

2. Learn about the Department of Energy’s “100-day” grid security plan” and what it means for the securing of industrial control systems and operational technology.

3. Learn about the Dragos Neighborhood Keeper public-private partnership with the Department of Energy that supports the collective defense and visibility across the Electric sector.
