IMA Webinar Broadcast: The Nashville Bombing – Law Enforcement and Owner/Operator Perspectives

On 12/25/2020, a bomb exploded in Nashville, Tennessee, killing one person, injuring eight, damaging multiple businesses, and impacting communication channels across the region. Join us as we host presenters from the FBI and from an impacted critical infrastructure operator to discuss the bombing and its impact. We’ll cover:

What happened, how the FBI responded, and a summary of the investigation to date (FBI)
The owner/operator perspective, including initial response, coordination with fire and law enforcement, and recovery lessons learned (AT&T)
Observations and analysis from the FBI’s technical evaluation of the bomb and its impact (FBI)

Presenters:

Tammi Laskowski, Special Agent, FBI
SA Laskowski was the FBI case agent for the investigation into the Nashville bombing.

Adriaan Valk, Special Agent Bomb Technician, FBI
SABT Valk was the first FBI bomb technician on scene and managed the crime scene until the scene was turned back over to the city of Nashville on 30 December 2020.

Bob Desiato, Director, AT&T
Mr. Desiato is a Director with AT&T’s Network Operations. He has worked in AT&T’s Network Disaster Recovery for over 20 years and responded to the events in Nashville, TN with other internal response personnel.
