IMA Webinar Broadcast: Jack Barsky – KGB and my life as an Undercover Agent; plus an FBI Counterintelligence Briefing

This presentation will provide an overview of the KGB, the fall of the USSR, the KGBs successor organizations, and modern Russia. Mr. Barsky will describe his recruitment into the KGB and examples of what it was like to be the ultimate Insider Threat as an undercover Illegal. Mr.Barsky will provide his perspective on currently cybersecurity threats as well as the insider threat to private industry.

FBI will present on the counterintelligence risks faced by private industry. This presentation will provide an overview of who is at risk, how are they at risk, as well as who are the threat actors. The presentations will provided case studies, explain the impact on US businesses, and provide mitigation and protection strategies.

Presenters:
Jack Barsky
Mr. Barsky spent 10 years as an undercover illegal agent in the US spying for the Soviet Union. Today he is a US citizen whose life story was featured in May 2015 on CBS 60 Minutes. His memoir “Deep Undercover” was released in March 2017.

Kimberly Williams, Staff Operations Specialist
Ms. Williams is a seven veteran of the FBI and is currently a Tactical Analyst working the counterintelligence threat posed by China.

Dallyn Sloan, Intelligence Analyst
Ms. Sloan is a four year veteran of the FBI and is currently an Intelligence Analyst working the counterintelligence threat posed by China.
