The documentary details the complex U.S. economic relationship with Beijing and explains the PRC’s goal of becoming the world’s top economic powerhouse by 2025\, through unfair and illegal practices. The goal of “Made in Beijing” is to encourage private sector companies to reach out to their FBI field office to establish a relationship and educate themselves on steps they can take to prevent the theft of their intellectual property.\nThe commentary and analysis by the FBI and the U.S. Department of State will explain the threat faced by the private sector\, how to protect their trade secrets and intellectual property\, and how to defend against the adversarial actions by the PRC and their agents when traveling overseas. \nPresenters:\nJason Van Thomme\, Supervisory Special Agent \, FBI\nSSA Van Thomme is responsible for managing economic espionage in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley. DESCRIPTION:During an April 2020 cyberattack on Israel’s water infrastructure\, Iranian hackers tried to increase chlorine levels in the water flowing to residential areas. Hundreds of people would have been at risk of getting sick had the attack succeeded. \nThis webinar will present two case studies from Israel on technological solutions that were deployed to mitigate threats to its water infrastructure. One case study focuses on how “smart water” and cyber solutions can be deployed concurrently to build cybersecurity into digital deployments.
