SUMMARY:IMA Webinar Broadcast: Food Defense: Securing the Food Sector - Threats & Vulnerabilities
DESCRIPTION:What is Food Defense? Food Defense is the prevention of both intentional and unintentional contamination of the food supply. The FBI works with its State\, Local\, Tribal\, and Food Sector Private Industry Partners to attempt to reduce vulnerability to intentional contamination\, helping to investigate and mitigate the effects of intentional adulteration. Why target the food supply? Deliberate contamination could cause significant consequences: Physical\, economic\, psychological\, and political. Even an ineffective attack could cause significant economic and psychological damage. This briefing will increase understanding of law enforcement’s role and existing partnerships in food defense\, and engage private industry stakeholders to implement improved information sharing\, in an effort to secure the food supply chain from producer to consumer. \nObjectives: \n· Overview of Food Sector and Defense by California Department of Public Health Food & Drug Branch (CDPH FDB)\n· California State and Federal Partners’ Response and Mitigation to incidents of contamination by CDPH FDB\n· FBI Los Angeles Counter Terrorism (CT) Division Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Brief: Threats & Vulnerabilities to Food Sector; and Intentional Contamination from Intel to Prosecution.\n· FBI Los Angeles Intelligence Division CT/WMD Brief: COVID-19 and Food/Grocery Delivery Services: What We’ve Learned. \nPresenters:\nRepresentatives from FBI Los Angeles \nWho Can Attend:\nOpen to anyone. \nRegistration:\nhttps://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/4907371498997448203

DESCRIPTION:The InfraGard National Members Alliance\, its National Sector Security and Resiliency Program (NSSRP)\, the Charlotte InfraGard Members Alliance (IMA) in collaboration with the Wall Street Journal (WSJ)\, are proud to present a two-day virtual training event taking place on July 27th and July 29th\, from 12:00pm – 2:30pm  ET / 9:00am – 11:30am PT. \nInfraGard National Members Alliance two-day 25th Anniversary Healthcare and Life Science Critical Infrastructure Protection Symposium\nHealthcare and Life Sciences are essential to navigating hazards like terrorism\, infectious disease outbreaks\, and natural disasters. It is also essential to our day-to-day quality of life and our safety. It is under attack from Nation States looking to steal our intellectual property (IP)\, our research\, and our DNA. These attacks put our safety at risk\, threatening our economy\, and our place on the global stage. In parallel\, innovations in technology are providing mind boggling advances not even imagined a few years ago. The challenge is to unlock the value of these advances and discovery without compromising our leadership in patient safety and affordable innovation. \nPart 1 Tuesday July 27\, 2021. 12 to 2:30 PM ET\n“Protecting the fuel driving innovation in Life Sciences – data\, IP\, DNA”\nData is the oil fueling innovation and operating our systems. We know our adversaries – Nation States\, Terrorists\, Hackers – are after our data to undermine our economy\, our national defense\, and our position on the world stage. The bad guys regularly seek raw data\, patient information\, Intellectual Property (IP)\, even our DNA. Come hear industry thought leaders and national law enforcement talk about the seriousness of this threat and what public/ private efforts are doing. SUMMARY:IMA Webinar Broadcast: INFRAGARD SAN DIEGO’S RANSOMWARE TABLETOP EXERCISE: ESSENTIAL TRAINING TO PREPARE AND PROTECT YOUR ORGANIZATION
DESCRIPTION:Ransomware attacks are becoming more targeted\, sophisticated and costly\, as evidenced by the highly publicized attacks of modern times. With the rapid increase in ransomware attacks against private sector companies\, the FBI is making these investigations a top priority. InfraGard San Diego’s ransomware tabletop exercise is an essential training event that will equip InfraGard members with real-world knowledge\, insight and resources to confront this malicious cybercrime. \nThis TTX will simulate a realistic ransomware attack on a fictitious San Diego business. Participants will be provided with background materials and three tabletop interjections they can leverage to evaluate their own organization’s preparedness to address the continued threat of ransomware. Attendees can also repurpose this exercise for their organization either live during the webinar (e.g.\, leverage the offered scenario and interjections contextualized to their firm) and/or for future training. This ransomware tabletop exercise engages both technical and non-technical (business) audiences among InfraGard members; it does not have specific dependencies on a particular sector or an individual’s role within their organization. \nWho can attend:\nThis event is restricted to InfraGard members only. \nRegistration:\nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/e/ransomware-tabletop-exercise-infragard-san-diego-tickets-161115672313 \n**After you register\, you will receive Zoom access information in your confirmation email.** \n
