SUMMARY:IMA Webinar Broadcast: Ukraine Update & Global Threat Overview-Special Emphasis-Iran and the Middle East
DESCRIPTION:This seminar covers\, among other topics and conflicts\, the war in Ukraine and its implications for Iran\, the Middle East and global gas and oil. It will also cover any updates on the threat of conflict between China and Taiwan\, maritime insurgency in the South China Sea\, the ever volatile nature of developments in North Korea\, the latest on undersea pipeline and cable interruptions\, and other topics focused on conflict\, threats and impacts to the critical infrastructure of the United States. In short\, this seminar is a world tour on the nature and latest developments of various threats and strategic challenges that the U.S. faces\, and how they impact our critical infrastructure\, political-economy and global supply chain. Particular attention is paid to how problems overseas can manifest themselves with major problems here\, and by understanding the threat\, it enables all of us to better prepare and mitigate what could happen. \nHal Kempfer is a retired military (US Marines) intelligence officer who has served around the world and with the broader intelligence community\, and having done numerous special assignments with various law enforcement agencies like the FBI\, DEA\, US Customs (DHS)\, etc. A veteran of the Cold War\, “War on Drugs”\, the Gulf War (Desert Storm)\, Iraq War (OIF) and War on Terror (OEF)\, he has also trained\, facilitated and exercised both foreign governments and major international corporations on major threats\, along with a series of joint service and general and flag officer commands in the US and overseas. Retiring as a LtCol\, he founded two very successful companies that specialized in strategic intelligence and risk management issues\, particularly with all facets of what is termed Homeland Security. A frequent on-air “expert” that is regularly seen on Fox\, NewsNation/Nextel\, ABC\, CBS\, NBC and NPR networks or affiliates\, Hal has become the go-to “talking head” when trying to make sense of what is happening when disaster\, war or terror strikes.
